At Maven Silicon, we do not just focus only on teaching the VLSI technology, instead we work with our engineers closely and help them to build their long term career. I want my engineer to come back even after 10 years and say, "I am successful in my life its because of Maven's course". I feel its my responsibility to guide the next generation engineers, not only on designing complex chips, but definitely on how to lead a successful professional life.
Most of the young engineers do not even know the meaning of integrity and its the same case with some experienced professionals too.
On the first day of Maven VLSI course, I teach all my engineers how to protect the Intellectual Properties of an organization. Its time for us to understand the value of ones creative work and use their patented technologies with proper licenses. But integrity is not only about protecting IPs, its about everything,
your honesty, truthfulness and consistency of your character.
Do not share any confidential information about your company with outsiders. You need to mind what you post on your Facebook or tweet too.
After hiring some employee with low integrity and ethics, I have realized why Warren Buffet has said :
"In looking for people to hire, you look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence, and energy. And if they don't have the first, the other two will kill you."
